Web Designer - Remote

Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a Web Designer to join our marketing team.
You will own the front-end of our website, design and optimize new landing pages, and create a variety of marketing
assets in support of our content, copy, and paid media efforts.
You have an eye for visual design, understand conversion rates and user flows, and thrive in an environment where

In this role, you will:
- Oversee our website (front-end) and the design of new pages
- Optimize and update our site and paid media pages for conversion
- Work with developers to deploy designs and updates
- Conduct competitive research and utilize data to provide design direction

Direct and create marketing assets, such as Facebook ads, product mockups, sales pieces, email newsletters, and
custom images.
- Manage your own work and collaborate remotely
On any given week, you may:
- Design a new landing page
- Oversee the design and launch of new A/B tests for paid media
- Review data from paid media to develop new conversion test ideas
- Create new product mockups for our website
- Create digital ads for paid marketing campaigns, such as Facebook or Google
- Develop an animated GIF of a product feature
- Optimize screenshots for a newsletter that look good in any email client
You have:
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS
- 3–5 years or more experience
- Experience creating landing pages and digital ads
- Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- An understanding of conversion rate optimization
- Familiarity with analytics (e.g., Google, Fullstory)
- An ability to take initiative, solve problems, and collaborate well with others
- An understanding of SEO principles
- A passion to learn, sharpen your skills, and grow in your position and responsibilities

Bonus points for:
- Experience working in SaaS and/or B2B
- Proficiency with PHP, Github, and JavaScript
- Proficiency with Google Optimize
- Proficiency with Sketch and Abstract
- Experience with landing page builders like Unbounce, Instapages, or Leadpages

What you can expect
Even though most candidates will not complete the entire interview process, here’s what you can expect from
beginning to end:
Submit your application: Nothing too fancy here. We’ll just need your resume, portfolio, and two references.
Conduct a technical screen: For this step, we’ll just ask for you to submit 2–3 pages you designed and coded for
review. We’re just making sure you have what it takes.
Two video interviews: During these two interviews, you’ll meet a variety of team members from PhoneBurner. These
interviews are more about learning more about you and hearing your story.
Offer letter: At the end, we’ll send you an offer letter.
